An opportunity exists for an Assistant Editor to join a documentary crew on a project exploring the taboo of homosexuality in surfing. This position is voluntary but presents the opportunity to gain a credit on a feature documentary for theatrical and broadcast release.
You would be working directly with Campbell Wilson, a documentary editor with over 15 years experience who has edited projects for cinema, television and the web. Your contribution would involve reviewing and cataloguing filmed material, assembling highlight sequences for further editing and updating the script log. Experience in Adobe Premiere would be ideal, but knowledge of Final Cut would also be appropriate.
The location of the editing studio is Dee Why on the northern beaches in Sydney. It would be great if you could contribute 2 days a week to this project for the following 2 months.
To enquire or apply, please contact James Cogswell at cogswell.jrh@gmail.com. Please include your CV and/or showreel with your application.
If only I lived in Sydney..
Looking forward to the release though!
